Foil Watercolor Resist

The foil resists the simple watercolors allowing you to make combinations of foils and colors to match any occasion!

We used Hedi Swapp foil on some laser prints of the Gumption font from the Holy Craft Bundle. If you want to learn more about foiling check out our playlist of our prior videos.

Paper Choices

I used two different papers here, a Mixed Media paper from Canson we purchased at Michaels and a regular cardstock. You want to test your papers for both the laser printing and the water colors. We originally tried to use a Watercolor paper but it never printed well in our laser printer

Each paper interacts with the watercolors differently. The cardstock had a much smoother surface and really soaked up the watercolors. The Mixed Media paper gave you that traditional sort of artist watercolor texture. The mixed media paper also allowed the colors to spread and blend much more than the cardstock.
