Foil can be great for making some exciting background for your projects. Don’t let all that foil go to waste though! Join us to see how we make the most out of foil and use the backgrounds in two card projects made in Cricut Design Space.
Making the Most of Foil
George shows how he used some cute free images to make backgrounds. Then use the negative of the leftover foil to make another new background. Don’t let those negative images go to waste on the foil. Get crafty and use ALL the foil!
Black Page for Foiling
Here is the black page you can print out to make use of the negative images quickly and easily. Don’t forget, this needs to be done on a laser printer or copier that uses toner to be used with foil. Ink jet or other printing methods won’t work.
You can also print out black sheets and cut them on your Cricut Explore or other die cutting system make shapes you can foil.
We use two of the backgrounds for some Autumn cards that George made in Cricut Design Space. The Design Space project for the cards and the Celebrate Fall sentiment image are made available to our supporters on Patreon as a thank you! George found the great background at paper glitter. The Halloween paper is free, the Christmas paper is an inexpensive purchase.
The acorn paper for the Celebrate Fall card was a free printable paper from Fellow Fellow! The set also includes a lovely pine cone paper. The papers coordinate with some free printable Christmas tags that would be perfect to print and foil too!
